The Marine Corps League offers all Marines and qualified FMF Corpsmen of every era, rank, and unit an opportunity to participate together in an organization of Marines.
Participate in patriotic events, ceremonies, parades
and color guards
Develop and support programs to cultivate positive
Assist existing youth programs, such as Scouting & JROTC
Collect and distribute toys in support of the Marine
Corps Reserve Toys for Tots campaign
Assist in veterans programs that support veterans in need
Help local service members and their families
Iredell Detachment #1097 supports the community, active duty, reserve, honorably discharged and their families. The more the detachment grows, the better we can serve the community!

Membership is comprised of Regular Members and Associate Members. To be eligible for Regular member in the MCL a person must meet one of the following criteria:
Marines with honorable active or reserve service in the U.S. Marine Corps for no less than 90 days active service.
FMF U.S. Navy Corpsman who have earned the Marine Corps Device and served no less than 90 days with an active Marine FMF Unit.
U.S. Navy Chaplains who have earned the FMF Badge and served no less than 90 days with an active Marine FMF Unit.
Veterans from other branches of the armed forces, those with no military service, and individuals who are not qualified to join as regular members, are also welcome to apply for associate membership in our detachment.
OATH OF MEMBERSHIP
"I, ________________________, in the presence of Almighty God, and the members of the Marine Corps League here assembled, being fully aware of the symbols, motto, principles and purposes of the Marine Corps League, do solemnly swear or affirm that I will uphold and defend the Consti-tution and Laws of the United States of America and of the Marine Corps League. I will never knowingly wrong, deceive or defraud the League as to the value of anything. I will never knowingly wrong or injure or permit any member or any member’s family to be wronged or injured if to pre-vent the same is within my power. I will never propose for membership, one known to me to be unqualified or unworthy to become a member of the League. I further promise to govern my conduct in the League’s affairs and in my personal life in a manner becoming a decent and honorable person and will never knowingly bring discredit to the League, so help me God."
