PROGRAMS
TOYS-FOR-TOTS
In coordination with the United States Marine Corps Reserve the Detachment is the Iredell County focal point for the Toys for Tots program that collects and distributes toys to needy children in Iredell County
SCHOLARSHIPS
Annual donation to the Dale Wilson Scholarship at Mitchell Community College which we provides two scholarships annually for Marines and their descendants
JROTC
Assist the South Iredell High School Marine JROTC in the selection of projects in support of veterans.
Provide funding for the South Iredell High School Marine JRTOC program and in support of the Marine Corps League Iredell County JROTC competition.
HONOR GUARDS
Provide Honor Guards for community events when requested and for deceased Marines and veterans in conjunction with the Iredell Veterans Council
PATRIOTIC EVENTS
Marine Corps League members support and attend the annual Memorial Day ceremony and provide parade float with Marines at the Iredell County 4th of July parade
COMMUNITY INVOLVMENT
Attend Iredell County Council meetings
Provide financial aid and/or manpower to community projects, as requested
EAGLE SCOUTS
Present Eagle Scout Certificates for those Iredell County scouts that achieve Eagle Scout status
VETERANS ASSISTANCE
Provides financial aid directly to Marines & veterans in need in our local community.
Supports the Iredell County Veterans Council Assistance Program through donations and participation of feeding homeless and needy veterans.
